1998 - 2008: Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence
ADC was incorporated in 1998 to facilitate our community's participation in the growing resource industry. ADC provides employment, training, and contract opportunities to the Nation and the Town of Grande Cache; and is the largest aboriginal employer in the region (100+ employees). ADC has contributed tens of millions of dollars to the local economy through wages, training, contracts and purchasing local goods and services. As well, the corporation contributes to local charities and organizations and provides emergency financial assistance to families in need.
November 15, 2008 ADC purchased 10,550 ft2 of shop space and 5060 ft2 of office space on 2.13 acres of land. The newly constructed facility was purchased to meet the ADC's growing needs. Included is a complete welding fabrication shop with a 10 ton overhead crane, six serviced welding booths, a full service wash bay, and ample administrative space. Prior to purchasing, a feasibility study and financial capability assessment was completed with the assistance of BDC, Alberta Employment and Immigration, and Alberta Aboriginal Relations.
