Government Partners: Since the incorporation of Aseniwuche Winewak Nation in 1994, the Province of Alberta has been a champion of our ongoing growth and development. Alberta, through a variety of ministries, has provided capital and human resources to assist AWN to achieve our strategic directives and develop much needed capacity in all areas. AWN currently has agreements with Aboriginal Relations, Employment and Immigration, Municipal Affairs and Housing, and Culture and Community Spirit that provides for ongoing support for items such as the AWN administration, by-law development, housing programs, consultation program, employment and training initiatives, and protection of significant sites. AWN directors, Elders, staff and community recognize the exemplary efforts made by many politicians and public servants who have supported AWN to make it the organization it is today.
